Meet Laura
Animals have always been at the heart of everything for me. From a young age, I felt an unshakeable pull toward them, and this led to a passion that would go on to shape my entire life and career.
8 years ago after my son was born, I started a small boutique doggy daycare and home boarding company, caring for hundreds of beloved pets and building deep trust with the families who left their dogs in my hands. It was in that hands-on, day-to-day role that I noticed how what dogs were eating was directly affecting how they felt, looked, and lived.
Determined to offer the very best for the dogs in my care, I started cooking my own heavily researched recipes for optimum pet health. The results were hard to miss. Coats became glossier, weight loss for the overweight pets & energy levels improved.
Around the same time, I started my own health journey studying nutrition. Deep diving into the role nutrition plays in human wellbeing — gut health, inflammation, the power of whole ingredients — I found that the more I learned about how specific food fuels our body, the more I learned about how the same goes for our precious pets.
That intersection of personal hands-on experience and a genuine passion for all the animals in my care is what led me to create this business. I believe every dog deserves food that nourishes them from the inside out & I've made it my mission to provide exactly that through Bonne Santé — which literally translates to “Good Health” from my family language of French.
Meet Michelle
Michelle has run her local music studio for over 20 years. Teaching, creating, building something from nothing. It's just how she's wired. Outside the studio, life is full too: two teenagers, two German Shepherds, and the kind of organised chaos that somehow always works out.
In 2022, her daughter caught the same bug. She launched her own little business making gourmet dog cookies and celebration cakes. Honestly, no one was surprised. When you grow up watching someone build something they love, it tends to rub off.
It was the dogs that introduced Michelle to Laura. Laura runs a busy doggy daycare and had recently started Bonne Santé alongside it. By Christmas, demand had taken off faster than either of them expected. Laura needed someone she trusted. Someone with a creative eye, a calm head, and the ability to hit the ground running.
Michelle came on board.
She brought what she always brings: an instinct for presentation, a knack for making processes actually work, and genuine care for doing things properly. What had started as a friendship between two families and their dogs became a proper partnership.
Bonne Santé is the result. Built by women who love their animals, know their craft, and mean it.
Meet Christie
Hi, I'm Christie, the person behind Winnie's Pup Cakes! I'm a mum to three girls and one very loved Ruby Cavalier named Winnie.
What started as a passion for baking has turned into something I genuinely didn't expect, making birthday cakes just for dogs. I wanted to create something that was actually fun and safe, using real, wholesome ingredients I'd feel good about. Because honestly, our dogs deserve a proper celebration too.
